Cultivating Connections, Nurturing Knowledge: Highlights from the 2023 RNA User Forum 2023

The 2023 RNA User Forum, held on November 16th at The Institute of Actuaries of Korea, brought together a dynamic community of existing R³S users and RNA clients. The event was established to foster continuous interest, unveil new products, innovations, and version upgrades, and facilitate the sharing of experiences among R³S users. The event was also used as a space for R³S users to share use cases and for the RNA team to provide issue resolution support through suggestions and feedback. The forum delved into the purpose of R³S usage, with a significant focus on K-ICS, IFRS 17, and Accounting Closing.

The three-hour event commenced with an opening speech by Harry Kim, CEO of RNA Analytics, setting the stage for a knowledge-packed session. Graham Howarth, CTO, Chief Technical Officer at RNA Analytics, also delivered an insightful keynote speech on introduction to RNA's Workflow Manager and updates, alongside our comprehensive software roadmap for the coming years, followed by a presentation by Dr Ryu, Head of Product & Modeling, APAC providing another key address focusing on his perspective on Forward-Looking Assessment of Own Risk (FLAOR) concept, encompassing ALM, ORSA, and Business Planning, following the implementation of IFRS 17 and K-ICS. Additionally, he highlighted the recent enhancements featured in R³S Modeler 4.1. The forum also featured a valuable Q&A session with Hyobae Kim, Head of Sales, Korea and Southeast Asia addressing client voices and questions on R³S.

The post-forum satisfaction survey of all event attendees provided an invaluable snapshot of the event and how this was received. Respondents expressed overall satisfaction with the event, keynote speeches, and the program's effectiveness. The RNA team were thrilled to support and help customers in person, whilst also having the opportunity to go through exciting upcoming product launches.

From the forum, users highlighted R³S's user-friendly interface, fast runtime, array functionality, workflow management, and robust technical support. The modular functionality and high flexibility of R³S also earned commendation, which is fantastic to see from our clients. This interactive session allowed the RNA team to work closely with customers to take on board their suggestions for potential improvements, and pain points and uncover valuable insights into areas for improvement. Working so closely with our customers is key so we can create innovative solutions based on their needs, and engineering technology to make their business operations run with ease.
